Rates and Insurance

Dr. Weibel accepts cash, checks, and credit/debit cards and some insurance:

Blue Cross Blue Shield       Aetna       Value Options       Verity      Magellan       Medicare

If you do not have insurance or do not want to use insurance,  the rates are:

$150 for the first session

$125 for each subsequent 50-minute session.

Because Dr. Weibel runs a small practice, he appreciates that you take the time to learn if Dr. Weibel is an approved provider, and what your deductible and co-pay are. The deductible is the amount you have to pay each year for all your healthcare expenses before your insurance begins to pay. Almost all doctor visits count toward your deductible. The more times you  have seen a doctor this year, the more likely you have met it. Until you meet your deductible for the year, you will pay Dr. Weibel the full fee that has been negotiated by your insurance company. After you meet your deductible for the year, you will only pay your co-pay each session. The copay is the amount you pay at each session. Again these vary widely from $0 to $40.

Limited sliding scale appointments are available based upon your ability to pay. If you do not have insurance, we can discuss what you can afford based on your income. Some people elect not to use insurance, because they do not want the insurer setting any limits on the type or length of therapy.

Decide If We Are a Good Fit to Work Together

Because therapy requires a therapeutic working alliance, we should determine if we would work well together. Please take some time to consider if Dr. Weibel is a good fit for you. Reading this web site is one way to get an idea about how you might get along with Dr. Weibel. The web site is not perfect, but all of the words are Dr. Weibel’s. Viewing the office tour photos may give you a sense of whether you would feel comfortable in his office. You can call Dr. Weibel and he will get an overview of your issues and goals, while trying to determine if we are a good fit. If we are not a good fit, Dr. Weibel would be happy to make a referral to another provider or community resources.

If we decide to work together, Dr. Weibel will give you a list of all available times. Available times will shift in subsequent weeks, so please do not give up immediately if there is no time that fits your schedule.

Please email d@drweibel.com or call 225-678-9389 to contact Dr. Weibel.
