Each of the approaches below has one or more empirically supported therapies that have been developed and tested in studies. We can also combine approaches to meet your needs. Matching technique to your needs and motivations is important, as is establishing a solid working alliance and agreeing on tasks and goals. Cognitive We evaluate evidence for your less than ideal thoughts and provide alternative explanations or perspectives, thus helping you think in a more adaptive manner, which changes feelings and behavior. Mindfulness We learn to observe thoughts with non-judgment and acceptance, realizing they are just thoughts and gaining a sense of detachment from them. This will lessen your reactivity and stress and help you make wise choices. Humanistic We develop an alliance based on empathy and genuineness, allowing you to feel supported and safe enough to discover and express your feelings and move toward authenticity, congruency, and self-actualization. Psychodynamic We explore and become aware of your interpersonal patterns and how you avoid or block awareness of feelings due to anxieties, possibly from the past. You can develop more trust in relationships and in your own feelings while lessening your avoidance, promoting awareness and freedom. Behavioral We help you achieve desirable behaviors by experimentation, practice, and shifting rewards. You can also overcome fears by facing them slowly and systematically. Accepting Clients

He does refer to prescribers.                                                                                       Informed Consent Rates and Insurance       Dr. Weibel accepts cash, checks, and credit/debit cards and some insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield       Aetna       Value Options       Verity      Magellan       Medicare If you do not have insurance or do not want to use insurance,  the rates are: $150 for the first session $125 for each subsequent 50-minute session. Because Dr. Weibel runs a small practice, he appreciates that you take the time to learn if Dr. Weibel is an approved provider, and what your deductible and co-pay are. The deductible is the amount you have to pay each year for all your healthcare expenses before your insurance begins to pay. Almost all doctor visits count toward your deductible. The more times you  have seen a doctor this year, the more likely you have met it. Until you meet your deductible for the year, you will pay Dr. Weibel the full fee that has been negotiated by your insurance company. After you meet your deductible for the year, you will only pay your co-pay each session. The copay is the amount you pay at each session. Again these vary widely from $0 to $40. Limited sliding scale appointments are available based upon your ability to pay. If you do not have insurance, we can discuss what you can afford based on your income.
